Our Story

Rosie Mayd started with a simple idea: to create something meaningful in Rosie’s memory.

What began with designing a few planters for our own home slowly grew into something much bigger—a place where our love for plants, cozy spaces, and thoughtful design could all come together.

Today, every piece we make is created in memory of our daughter, Roselyn. Our hope is that when one finds a place in your home, it brings a little warmth, a little peace, and reminds you to slow down and enjoy the little things.

Designing Rosie Mayd pieces

Designed with Intention

Every Rosie Mayd piece starts as an idea — sometimes from something we need in our own home, sometimes from a sketch, and sometimes from one of those “what if we made…” conversations.

From there, we turn it into a digital design and start testing. The first version is rarely the final one. We print it, look it over, use it, adjust it, and keep going until it feels right.

Most of our pieces are tested right here in our own home. We style them with our plants, move them around, use them in everyday life, and pay attention to the little things — how they look, how they feel, and whether they actually make sense to use.

That same process guides everything we’re working toward, from planters and trellises to future home goods. We’re not trying to rush out products just to have more products. We want to make pieces that feel thoughtful, useful, and peaceful in a real home — because that’s what we want them to feel like in ours, too.

Roselyn

Made with love, for Rosie

Roselyn had a way of making people feel special. She loved her sisters with everything she had, made friends wherever she went, and never missed a chance to make someone smile.

If there was a camera nearby, you could almost count on her flashing a peace sign with the biggest grin on her face.

In 2025, our lives changed forever when we unexpectedly lost Roselyn in a car accident. She was only six years old. Nothing prepares you for that kind of loss.

We were learning how to carry our own grief while helping our daughters find reasons to keep laughing, playing, and looking forward. It was the hardest chapter our family has ever faced.

Rosie Mayd exists because of Roselyn. Every design, every planter, and every piece we create is a way of carrying a little of her love into the world.

We hope Rosie Mayd helps her light continue to reach others, one home at a time.

Finding Peace again

Healing didn’t happen all at once. It began with one little plant.

While visiting my two best friends, we each bought a plant together. It was my very first one, and I never imagined how much it would change my life.

Caring for something living brought moments of peace back into my days, and before long, one plant became many.

As our home filled with plants, our family started designing and 3D printing planters that felt just as peaceful as the plants they held.

What started as creating pieces for ourselves slowly became Rosie Mayd. Today, Rooted in Peace is more than our tagline. It’s a reminder of Roselyn, the peace we’ve searched for since losing her, and the hope we’ve found while continuing to grow.

Plants didn’t take away our grief, but they reminded us that even after life’s hardest seasons, new growth is still possible.

Made with love, for Rosie.
